Ornamental horticulture is the science and practice of propagating, growing, maintaining and using a plant grown for its beauty. Ornamental Horticulture in Belize comprises businesses involved in the production and sale of nursery stock and florists’ crops, the design of interior and exterior landscapes, and the development of recreational areas for our enjoyment.
Further, the value of flowers in homes, flowers in gardens and other aspects/features in grades is highly quintessential to the comfort of many people. Economically, Ornamental Horticulture is extremely important to Belize.
It is a very exciting field that embraces a variety of careers/employment opportunities. Indeed, the diversity and versatility of the field of Ornamental Horticulture will open unlimited doors to life.
Therefore, our goal is to produce first rate ITVET graduates in Ornamental Horticulture who will be innovative, creative and excel as entrepreneurs in their chosen field.
